The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position
Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.
Under limited supervision, incumbents perform the full range of journey level duties described in the series concept. Incumbents may serve as a leadworker as assigned. The Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Business Process Analyst II to join our Project Management Office. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and mentoring in portfolio services, fostering strong collaboration among various teams, and managing projects through the entire project development lifecycle. You will also utilize your expertise in resource management and project portfolio management to support project priority activities and ensure successful project delivery. Responsibilities may include: Collaborate closely with the Project Delivery team, UAT testing team, training team, and development teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination across all project phases ; Provide leadership and mentoring to team members, helping to foster a collaborative work environment and promote knowledge sharing within the organization ; Manage projects through the project development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies, and delivering projects within scope, budget, and timeline constraints ;Create and develop SharePoint repository systems to facilitate efficient document management and collaboration among project stakeholders; Conduct policy reviews and develop workflows using Visio to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency; Utilize data presentation platforms, such as Power BI, to create dashboards and reports for data analysis and project performance monitoring; Apply advanced planning documentation techniques to gather and document project requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives; Utilize your experience and expertise in portfolio management and resource management to support project priority activities, allocate resources effectively, and ensure optimal utilization of available resources.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and two years of professional experience in a related program area analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included one year of experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR one year of experience as a Business Process Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting.
    A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
Additional Position Criteria
    This position is subject to working nights, weekends, and holidays.
