The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
Statewide.
Education Programs Directors, Supervisors, and Professionals assist and foster the growth of early childhood, pre-K, K-12, postsecondary, adult, and related education programs throughout Nevada by providing technical assistance, training, and oversight.
This is for an Educational Programs Professional position located in either Las Vegas or Carson City, NV. The incumbent will support all Nevada's educators with teaching and learning in secondary ELA and World Language education, including, curriculum, content, resources, professional learning, and student programs. The duties performed by positions will include: Content, Curriculum, and Resources for secondary ELA and K-12 World Language; Communicate with internal employees in NDE divisions, LEAs, commissions, and boards; Develop and deliver professional learning for secondary ELA and K-12 World Language; Maintain established goals for continued success; Create common assessment library aligned to ELA and World Language standards; Develop and support student programs and/or projects in secondary ELA and K-12 World Language.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Doctorate degree from an accredited university in business, economics, education, English, math, psychology, science, sociology, or related field and one year of professional experience in an educational program area, which included experience in at least one of the following areas related to the current vacancy: leading and managing a team that supports organizational goals; evaluating a program and/or program participants for compliance purposes or outcomes; developing and implementing a vision for desired outcomes; and/or communicating with diverse stakeholders across various platforms; OR Master's degree from an accredited university in business, economics, education, English, math, psychology, science, sociology, or related field and two years of professional experience as described above.

This position requires working on evenings and weekends.
