The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Reprographics Technicians operate reprographics and related equipment ranging from desktop publishing equipment to digital composition front-end systems to lay out and reproduce a variety of materials such as forms, tables, letterhead, catalogs, brochures, maps, research publications, and magazines.

Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.
Located in Administrative Services Division, this position is responsible for the operation and
maintenance of various printer, scanner and bindery equipment in the Reprographics unit, in
order to produce a variety of NDOT publications and materials. The incumbent will provide
customer consultation, and set up and produce jobs using Xerox Free Flow software and digital print presses (Versant 2100, Versant 80), wide-format printer/scanner and related
reprographics equipment. The incumbent will also set up and operate bindery equipment,
including collating, folding, cutting, stitching, drilling, stapling, comb and wire binding, to finish printed materials. The incumbent will be responsible for completing purchasing requisitions for supply orders and placing service calls to keep equipment and jobs running smoothly. This position must maintain quality standards for finished products and deliver customer service at a high level in a deadline-driven environment. This position also serves as the primary back-up for the Mailroom.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of word processing experience which included responsibility for producing complex reports and projects; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
