Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
The Nevada State Fire Marshal's Office seeks a Management Analyst 1 to join the team in Carson City. Under immediate supervision, this position creates and reconciles declining balances for the agency, applies fiscal coding, approves purchasing requisitions, applies PEND 4 approval to fiscal documents in Advantage, codes/approves incoming billing claims and generates all outgoing billing claims, assists in the budget building process, and provides fiscal contract review and applies CETS approval.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and one year of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of professional experience as described above; OR two years of experience as an Accountant Technician I or Tax Examiner II in Nevada State service; OR one year of experience as an Accountant Technician II or Fiscal/Business Professional Trainee in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |

This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment. |
