The Position
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
The Cannabis Compliance Board is recruiting for a Management Analyst 3 in Las Vegas. This position oversees and manages the CCB's Program Support department which includes the administration of two major support systems; the CCB's system of record, Accela, and the cannabis seed to sale system, Metrc. The incumbent participates in program planning; determines business function and user requirements through consultation with users, technicians, vendors, management, program developers, and IT professionals; serves as a liaison between program supports services, IT, and CCB programs; and oversees and participates in the collection, analyzing, and interpretation of data from CCB systems and outside sources in order to produce analysis and management reports to be used by the CCB in strategic business planning, forecasting budgetary needs, and industry impact. This position supervises a staff of four employees: a Management Analyst, Business Process Analyst, and two Administrative Assistants. Candidates must have intermediate to advanced skills with Excel, experience with data analysis and preparation of management reports, and experience with project management/coordination. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience which included budgeting, accounting, and/or economic or management analysis and projections; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and five years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
    This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
    This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment.
