The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation,
employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.
The Division of Health Care Financing and Policy's Human Resources office is recruiting for a Personnel Analyst I position located in Carson City. This position will function as the division's recruitment manager and will oversee division recruiting functions that include: all aspects of state recruitment including application review; creative recruitment outreach such as job fairs, university outreach, job boards, etc.; classification duties including NPD-19 reviews; compensation functions including NPD-4 accelerated salary requests and NPD-5 requests. This position will also assist with updating HR procedures and backing up the Human Resources Officer as necessary. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with state recruiting and NRS/NAC interpretation.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field; OR three years of experience as a Personnel Technician III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
