Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (SNAMHS) has an opening for a Clinical Social Worker 2 in the Mesquite Behavioral Health Center located in Mesquite, NV.
Position requires a working knowledge of theories/principles of counseling and psychotherapy; symptoms, characteristics and treatment of mental illness, emotional and behavioral disorders; crises intervention techniques; case management practices and procedures; psycho-diagnostic techniques; laws governing abuse and neglect of clients. Ability to assess, develop and implement treatment plans and goals; write comprehensive evaluations, reports, and recommendations. Will coordinate and obtain community services for clients, actively participate on the treatment team and provide crisis intervention. Emphasis on utilizing the recovery model, formulating individualized treatment plans that lead to self-sufficiency. Ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards, as well as established laws, regulations and SNAMHS policies. Applicants MUST have licensure as a Clinical Social Worker by the Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers.
This is a full-time position with an anticipated work schedule of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Incumbents work an innovative variable schedule with overtime after 40 hours per week. This site is designated as a tuition reimbursement site by HRSA. Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers.

Incumbents must obtain and maintain licensure or provisional licensure to engage in social work as a Clinical Social Worker or associate in social work in accordance with NRS Chapter 641B and the regulations adopted by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers. |

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. |

A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. |
