The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
Statewide.
Social Workers are licensed professionals who provide case management services to children, families, vulnerable adults with intellectual, developmental, physical disabilities, serious mental illness, and older adults (collectively referred to as "vulnerable adults") and other individuals within local communities and institutions.
Positions are located in Battle Mountain, Carson City, Elko, Ely, Fallon, Hawthorne, Lovelock, Pahrump, Silver Springs, Tonopah, Winnemucca and Yerington. You must indicate in your profile which geographical locations you will be willing to accept employment in.
DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES positions are assigned to provide child welfare services to children and families within local communities. Responsibilities include interviewing children, families and community contacts to develop and implement a case plan that presents intervention strategies to meet the child's needs. Provides ongoing case management services by developing and implementing plans of care; conducting home visits; monitoring services; documenting case activities; investigating reports of abuse and neglect; report preparation and record keeping; providing technical information and educational services.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Licensure or provisional licensure as a Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Independent Social Worker or Associate in Social Work and one year of professional experience providing case management in child protective services, foster care services and/or adoption services in a social work setting equivalent to a Social Worker I in Nevada State service.
Special Requirements
Licensure or provisional licensure as a Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Independent Social Worker, or Associate in Social Work by the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
Working evenings, weekends, and/or holidays is required.
A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
This position is subject to on-call.
