The Position
Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting.
Lake's Crossing Center (LCC), a maximum-security forensic facility/psychiatric hospital for mentally disordered offenders in Sparks, Nevada is recruiting for a Clinical Social Worker 3. Clinical Social Worker 3's function as managers who train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors, develop policies and procedures, and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives according to the needs of the hiring agency. Incumbent is responsible for the Social Work Department and assists LCC Director with projects and administration. Duties include overseeing the delivery of professional services; ensuring proper staff coverage; ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, program guidelines, and agency policy; participating in therapeutic community meetings; and providing direct client care by ensuring that LCC clients receive appropriate social service intervention, including private or public resources and mental health aftercare.
This full-time position works Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Incumbent may be required to work evenings, in addition of normal working hours. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers, and one year of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
Special Notes
    Incumbents must obtain and maintain licensure or provisional licensure to engage in social work as a Clinical Social Worker or associate in social work in accordance with NRS Chapter 641B and the regulations adopted by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers.
Special Requirements
    Working evenings, weekends, and/or holidays is required.
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
    A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
Additional Position Criteria
    Experience providing direct client care and implementing treatment plan for individuals with mental illness or developmental disabilities is required.
    This position is subject to on-call for emergencies.
