Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This is a Management Analyst 2 position located in Las Vegas. The incumbent will handle regulatory and statistical oversight and prepare management-level reports and presentations. The incumbent will use advanced technical principles and techniques to research and analyze the program's data processing needs to determine technological efficiencies and will make recommendations for process improvements. The incumbent will also monitor, compile and extract data from the industry for use by management in developing long range planning; conduct complex, sensitive, investigative and analytical studies that may involve any aspect of the agency's operations; and provide long range, broad based business process analysis to the Cannabis Compliance Board's complex and automated programs, both current and new systems. The incumbent will collect requirements data for system enhancements, coordinate and assist with user acceptance testing, and develop regulations and procedures for Department program areas, develop training materials, and train users. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |
