The Position
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
The Nevada Department of Veterans Services is recruiting for a Management Analyst 1 (underfill to Management Analyst 2) Grants and Contracts position geographically located in Reno, Nevada. Under the supervision of the Administrative Services Officer the position is responsible for all aspects of grants and contracts. The successful incumbent will create department contracts; develop and implement record keeping systems; facilitate the Request for Proposal (RFP) process; manage and communicate statistical information, budgetary reports and presentations regarding programs to ensure compliance; develop strategies to ensure accuracy of data, grants and contracts; provide oversight on procurement policies & procedures and contractual agreements; oversee Master Service Agreements (MSA), grants, and lease agreements; conduct budget development and preparation; create reports pertaining to grants, contracts, lease agreements, quality management statistics and budget performance indicators. The work schedule is 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday with occasional statewide travel. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and one year of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of professional experience as described above; OR two years of experience as an Accountant Technician I or Tax Examiner II in Nevada State service; OR one year of experience as an Accountant Technician II or Fiscal/Business Professional Trainee in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
    This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
    This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment.
