Financial Institutions Examiners conduct examinations in the Financial Institutions Division of the Department of Business & Industry.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This is a Financial Institutions Examiner 1 position located in Las Vegas. The incumbent will participate in the annual examination of licensed depository and non-depository institutions for safety and soundness, and for compliance with State and federal law and regulations; conduct exit meetings with licensees including business owners, managers and directors of financial institutions - explaining examination findings and providing recommendations for any violations of State and federal laws and regulations. The incumbent will communicate both verbally and in writing with licensees and prepare reports of examination and investigations for review by FID Examiner III and/or Supervisory Examiner. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, accounting, economics, finance, or related discipline; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.

Application Evaluation Exam
The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process.
