Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
The State of Nevada Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is seeking a Management Analyst I, underfill for a Management Analyst II, for the Division's central office located in Carson City. This full-time position is an essential member of the DCFS fiscal team. The Management Analyst II position will develop, monitor and maintain assigned Division budgets, perform grant maintenance and grant draws, prepare periodic reports for internal and external recipients, run monthly/quarterly cost allocation, administer the random moment sampling program, provide fiscal documentation. This position also assists with the development and implementation of policies, procedures and internal controls. This position is a key member and participant of the DCFS fiscal team that prepares biennial budgets for the Division.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and one year of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of professional experience as described above; OR two years of experience as an Accountant Technician I or Tax Examiner II in Nevada State service; OR one year of experience as an Accountant Technician II or Fiscal/Business Professional Trainee in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |
