Positions in this series provide care, training, and treatment to children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional disturbances in a 24-hour/7-day a week treatment home setting.
Incumbents supervise and evaluate the performance of lower level professionals and support staff, schedule and assign work, and provide training and coaching. The Division of Child and Family Services is recruiting for multiple Treatment Home Supervisor (THS) positions at our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTF)- Oasis facility located in Las Vegas. PRTF-Oasis is a staff secure residential facility comprised of five treatment homes located at the West Neighborhood Family Service Center. These positions report to the Mental Health Counselor III. Supervisors are responsible for the daily operations of the home they are assigned and serve as back up to other THS's.
THS's provide oversight of the daily operations of their assigned treatment home ensuring adequate staff to client coverage, compliance with treatment model implementation, coaching and training of staff and all issues and tasks related to the functioning of the home. THS's will ensure that parents are involved with the program encouraging them to work with their child and treatment home staff in order to learn how to better manage their child's behaviors and mental health needs at home; facilitate groups that will focus on aggression replacement training, interaction and problem solving, and empowerment skills; and are responsible for completing the admission process with youth entering their home and works to coordinate the care and services under direction of the Mental Health Counselor to update treatment plans, write 30/60/90 day progress reports, and discharge summaries.
These positions require working a variable work schedule to alter their hours and flex their time in order to provide supervision/coaching/monitoring of staff who work other shifts than the supervisor.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education, child development, psychology, counseling, social work, or closely related field and two years of experience in the care, training, and/or treatment of children or adolescents with behavioral and emotional disturbances; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience above the bachelor's degree level. |

A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment. |

Working on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays is required. |

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. |
