The Position
Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.
This position is in the Unemployment Insurance Support Services (UISS) Unit in the Employment Security Division (ESD). The incumbent will be responsible for program development and planning for the Unemployment Insurance program. Responsibilities for this position include the following: maintain and revise UI program procedure and policy documentation; interpretation of state and federal laws, regulations and statutes; handle inquires and requests for information from the general public, departmental, and divisional sources, state, and federal government entities; define business, financial and operations requirements. The position will assist with the formulation of new initiatives in an advisory and/or information gathering capacity and will provide technical support and software user testing to the UI program. The position will also assist with timely development or changes in business practices, procedures, and policies in response to environmental, technological, and workload changes. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and one year of professional experience analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting.
