Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.
Under general direction, incumbents train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of subordinate staff and may serve as project leaders with responsibility for defining and managing the project scope and objectives.
The Nevada State Controller's Office is recruiting for a Business Process Analyst III that will be located in Carson City. The Business Process Analyst III position is an integral part of our System Administration Team. Duties include management of the State Financial System (Advantage), DAWN, and Vista; design and maintenance of user security profiles as well as security for documents and tables; maintenance of C-Cure access and Bottomline security; liaison with agencies for file uploads including interface development, testing, implementation, and monitoring; development of service requests for system fixes and enhancements including gathering requirements and working with technical staff; various system processes including closing monthly accounting periods, system rollovers, opening and closing fiscal years, 1099 testing, processing, and file production, tort claim processing, depreciation and fixed asset processes, purge processes, reversing JV processes, chart of account maintenance; and supervision of one Business Process Analyst II and one Program Officer I. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The incumbent may perform other related duties as required to meet ongoing needs. This position is subject to stand by between 6:00pm - 10:30pm, Monday - Friday. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and three years of progressively responsible professional experience in a related program area analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included two years of experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR one year of experience as a Business Process Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |
