Clinical Program Planners perform and supervise a variety of planning and analytical functions in support of clinical programs and activities within divisions of the Department of Health and Human Services, including quality improvement, program design, policy and procedure development, program evaluation, research, contract and grant development and administration, strategic planning, and training initiatives.
Clinical Program Planner I's supervise quality improvement and quality assurance, program planning, program evaluation, and/or contract administration for a large program with multiple service delivery components, which may be regional or statewide. The State of Nevada, Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS), Planning and Evaluation Program is recruiting for a Clinical Program Planner I to be located in Las Vegas.
This position is responsible for data collection and analysis regarding programs internal to DCFS as well as external community-based programs. This includes: providing support and technical assistance in community-based research design elements such as subject selection, data capture procedures, reporting of findings, and developing recommendations. The incumbent develops data collection procedures and related forms; conducts data analysis and interpretation; assists in establishing performance and outcome indicators for specific projects; assists in developing a plan and methodology for process and outcome evaluations; works as directed with IMS or other departments to develop reports or relevant data summaries as needed; engages in community evaluation activities as assigned; and participates in policy implementation reviews and documentation reviews.
As directed, the incumbent provides training and technical assistance to internal DCFS staff and external providers and stakeholders and other duties as assigned.
Desired qualifications include: familiarity and ability to work in a system that operates with system of care values and principles; prior employment or familiarity with State/County systems; experience in conducting audits; policy creation and oversight; deep understanding of evaluation methods; experience with project management, training creation and delivery, grant reporting requirements, psychometric validation and data analysis, quantitative and statistical analysis, and experience with Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS).

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a social science or health related field, which included clinical intervention coursework, and two years of professional experience as a clinician in a mental health or intellectual disability service delivery setting. |
