in this geographical location.
This is an underfill for an Unemployment Insurance Representative 3 position. Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.
Incumbents interview claimants, employers and any third party necessary to obtain required facts and information; apply appropriate sections of State laws and regulations, administrative policies and procedures to determine case outcomes; interpret and explain laws, procedures, policies and requirements to unemployment insurance claimants and employers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in one or more of the following areas: eligibility determination, providing social services to the public, adjusting insurance claims or making determinations on Workers' Compensation claims. This position may be required to work weekends or hours outside of the traditional 8:00 am to 5:00 pm schedule. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any field; OR two years of journey level technical or paraprofessional experience in the field in which the applicant is to be trained.
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
