Under general supervision, Education and Information Officers research issues of concern to the agency and the
relevant target population; develop, coordinate and/or present educational programs; review, revise and monitor
courses of instruction to reflect current marketplace and applicable law; audit instructor presentations to ensure
quality instruction is provided in accordance with program requirements; facilitate communication among the
target population and State and federal agencies; develop media releases, newsletters and informational
brochures. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This is an Education & Information Officer position with the Division of Mortgage Lending, 3300 W. Sahara Ave Ste 285, Las Vegas. The incumbent will provide educational information to the Licensees in a number of different formats, including but not limited to classes, PowerPoint presentations, social media, newsletters, etc. In addition, the incumbent will need to be familiar with the Division's regulations as the position serves as a resource for the Division and provides outreach at community events. The incumbent will need to follow legislation when in session and assist in the tasks that may result from changes in the legislation; responsible for sending out emails/messages through electronic application such as Listserv; assists in managing the Division's website; updates forms; and represents the Division on conference calls. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an area of specialization relevant to the agency to which assigned and two years of professional experience which included responsibilities for researching, writing, instructing, and presenting informational and educational material; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |

The ability to travel at least 25% of the time is required. |
|
This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |
