Administrative Services Officers function as business managers for a large division or major program area or facility, with responsibility for accounting, budgeting and business management of various services and operations.
This position is located in the Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH), Fiscal Services, Cost Allocation Unit, and serves as the subject matter expert for the Division's cost allocation plan and indirect cost rate agreement. This position is responsible for administering the federally approved cost allocation plan for the Division, administering the federally approved indirect cost rate agreement for the Division, supervision of the cost allocation/indirect unit staff, as well as oversight of the division's time tracking system. Major duties include updating and submitting the cost allocation plan narrative quarterly; preparing the cost allocation quarterly; preparing quarterly documentation for administrative claiming for State Medicaid; reviewing Administrative Distribution; submitting the federally approved indirect cost rate agreement annually; and oversight of fee analysis and time tracking. This position requires a high level of analysis and must be able to understand and interpret federal rules and regulations.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, accounting, finance or related field and four years of professional experience including two years of responsibility for major business operations/functions such as grants administration, contract and lease administration, purchasing and warehouse operations, human resources, Information Technology or facilities maintenance and construction; and two years of experience formulating, developing and analyzing program or agency budgets; and fiscal management; one year of which was equivalent to an Administrative Services Officer I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |

Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |

Experience with government cost allocation plans and indirect cost rate agreements is required. |

3) Describe your Legislative experience in the following areas: a) developing bill draft requests (BDR's); b) tracking and analyzing proposed legislation; and/or c) testifying before legislature.

4) Describe your supervisory experience to include discipline, performance evaluation and work performance standards for the following types of staff: a) clerical/technical/paraprofessional staff; b) professional staff; or c) supervisors in charge of professional staff.

5) Do you have a Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field?
