The Position
Rehabilitation Managers plan, organize, and manage the operations and service delivery in a district or statewide office.
Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives.
The Rehabilitation Manager 2 serves as the local and district-wide representative of the Rehabilitation program. The incumbent will promote and coordinate the program and manage day-to-day operations in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. The incumbent will directly supervise a team of 5 supervisors and 40+ subordinate staff; will work to support programs in the assigned area to meet the goals and objectives of the program; will assign work and monitor achievement of qualitative and quantitative goals; and will organize and direct utilization of personnel, materials and fiscal resources. This position serves as a representative of the program to establish and maintain working relationships with community organizations, other state and federal agencies, service providers and the public. They represent the agency on interagency boards, councils and public meetings. This Rehabilitation Manager is the facilities manager for the district and works as an extended member of the DETR management team to help develop and implement program goals and objectives, including contract management, inventory control, fiscal management, client needs, staff evaluation and corrective action. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Master's degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, business administration, vocational rehabilitation, social services, behavioral sciences, or related field and two years of experience which included implementing, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of strategies; analyzing and interpreting complex laws and regulations to ensure compliance; recommending implementation of strategies; and supervising professional staff; OR Bachelor's degree and three years of supervisory experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Rehabilitation Manager I in Nevada State service; OR one year of experience as a Rehabilitation Supervisor in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
The Examination

The exam will consist of a rating of training and experience weighted 100%. It is essential that applications include extensively detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience.
