Grants & Projects Analysts develop and implement and/or assess, monitor, control and review grant-in-aid
projects/programs administered by State agencies and provide assistance to recipients in evaluating program
The Nevada Highway Patrol Division (NHP) is recruiting to underfill a Grants and Projects Analyst II within the Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) in Carson City. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the federal MCSAP to include: grant applications/renewals, financial draws, and reporting. Additionally, the incumbent will handle all fiscal responsibilities for the Division to include: fiscal/job coding, approving budgetary authority for expenditures, and creating and maintaining grant and state fiscal declining balances. The incumbent will be able to auto-progress upon meeting the minimum qualifications of the class, satisfactory work performance, and the recommendation of the appointing authority. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of journey level technical or paraprofessional grants experience which includes duties such as assisting with writing grant applications; determining grant/subgrant program eligibility; providing technical assistance to grant/subgrant clients; and/or assisting with fiscal aspects of grants/subgrants; OR two years of paraprofessional experience equivalent to an Administrative Assistant III or Accounting Assistant III in Nevada State service which included assisting in performing grant duties as described above; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
