PAY GRADE: 30
The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Intermittent vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
This intermittent position will be trained to work in the capacity of an Unemployment Insurance Representative 3. Incumbents
perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.
Incumbents interview claimants, employers and any third party necessary to obtain required facts and information; apply appropriate
sections of State laws and regulations, administrative policies and procedures to determine case outcomes; interpret and explain
laws, procedures, policies and requirements to unemployment insurance claimants and employers. The successful candidate will
have a strong background in one or more of the following areas: eligibility determination, providing social services to the public,
adjusting insurance claims or making determinations on Workers' Compensation claims. This position may be required to work
weekends or hours outside of the traditional 8:00 am to 5:00 pm schedule. The State of Nevada is committed to Equal Employment

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any field; OR two years of journey level technical or paraprofessional experience in the field in which the applicant is to be trained.
Special Requirements
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process.
