Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position primarily manages the accounts payable and travel sections of the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) Financial Management unit, providing direction to a staff consisting of five Account Technicians. The incumbent communicates accounting policies, develops processes and training tools for accounts payable reporting, financial reporting and compliance. The incumbent motivates staff to perform at the highest level; assists the Deputy CFO for Accounting with organization and configuration of the unit design; and oversees agency proprietary accounting and case management systems. This position is deadline driven and requires excellent organizational and supervisory skills. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |

This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment. |
