The Position
Under general supervision, control power supplies and the building environment at a computer facility; provide technical analysis and consultation relative to power supplies and the computing environment to other State agencies; and plan, install, operate and maintain computer support systems and equipment. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This is a Computer Facility Technician position for the Department of Administration within the Enterprise Information Technology Computing Unit in Carson City. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of technical experience in the operation, testing, and maintenance of computer support systems including commercial heating, air conditioning and humidifying equipment and uninterruptible power supplies and diesel generators; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
Additional Position Criteria
    This position requires the ability to obtain OSHA 10 hour certification within 6 months of appointment.
    This position requires the selected candidate be available for standby/callback within 60 minutes of the facility on a rotation basis and work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime shifts when called back.
    A valid driver's license is required at time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
