The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Seasonal, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Maintenance Repair Workers perform semi-skilled work in the building and mechanical trades to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, facilities and equipment.
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.
Nevada Division of State Parks is recruiting for a seasonal Maintenance Repair Worker I position at South Fork State Recreation Area in Elko. This seasonal position will only be funded until June 30, 2020, although funding may be available through the end of July 2020 depending on budget restraints.
Incumbents for this position must be able to perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical tasks to include maintenance on water and sewer systems. Incumbents will work under the direction of the Park Maintenance Specialist and Park Supervisor, and will assist in general park operations and maintenance at both South Fork and Wild Horse State Recreation Areas.
Incumbents may be required to work various hours and shifts including holidays and weekends. Applicants may also be required to demonstrate the ability to perform job-related tasks during an interview. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
One year of experience in performing general building, grounds and equipment maintenance work; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements
A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
Some positions require work on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
