The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Business Enterprise Officer's provide training to Business Enterprise Program (BEP) Operators in fiscal, operating, marketing and other management practices and procedures to ensure adherence to program rules.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
Business Enterprises of Nevada (BEN) is a program for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. This program promotes the
development of successful independent business people to operate various vending operations throughout the State of Nevada.
Examples of vending operations include cafeterias, snack bars, and vending machines. The incumbent will be responsible for the
oversight of all Southern Business Enterprise of Nevada (BEN) locations and for training and supporting BEN Operators in this area.
The position serves as a representative of the BEN Program in working with the various government agencies in establishing new
BEN sites, negotiating and renegotiating contracts, as well as any other official BEN business. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration or related field and one year of experience promoting, managing or assisting in the management of a business; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and five years of experience promoting, managing or assisting in the management of a business; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Notes
Equivalent education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Special Requirements
A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
