The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Workforce Services Representatives provide a broad range of services in accordance with the Workforce Investment Act; assist job seeking customers and business customers seeking qualified applicants; and provide priority employment services to eligible veterans and disabled veterans as defined by the Department of Labor.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may supervise and train others.
This recruitment is for vacancies as they occur in the Reno and Sparks JobConnect Offices with the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation. This
position works with customers who are seeking assistance with training services needed to return to gainful employment and those
who need employment assistance in purchasing items they may need to accept an offer of employment. While not required,
applicants who are bilingual in English and Spanish are preferred. YOU MUST ATTACH A TYPING CERTIFICATE OBTAINED IN
THE LAST YEAR SHOWING THE ABILITY TO TYPE 30 WPM. APPLICATIONS WITHOUT A TYPING CERTIFICATE WILL
BE DENIED. Typing certificates can be obtained at any JobConnect Office for free. Results from online typing tests will not be

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of relevant program experience which included interviewing job seeking customers to gather education and work history information, or business representatives to determine job requirements from business customers; evaluating education and training and applying knowledge of specific occupational requirements and labor market conditions to make referrals to job openings; assisting customers to use computer equipment and software to develop resumes, assess skills and aptitude, search the Internet for job openings, or enter job listings in the Internet; recording information gathered from customers using program related computer software; identifying barriers to employment and explaining program requirements and regulations; OR one year of experience as a Workforce Services Representative II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Notes
Up to one year of experience may be substituted by completion of 30 semester credits in social or behavioral science, business administration, or related field for Workforce Services Representative III.
Additional Position Criteria
You must attach a typing test issued within the last year showing the ability to type 30 wpm or more. No online or self administered tests will be accepted.
