Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
The Department of Indigent Defense is recruiting for a Management Analyst II in Carson City. The Management Analyst II performs a variety of assignments related to budgets and budget building, financial analysis, development of departmental operations and policies, and writing grant applications. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work including: analyzing data, writing reports, training others, monitoring county compliance with standards and reporting and acting as a liaison with attorneys and various government officials. This position may require travel both in and out of state up to 25%. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |

Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |
|
Budget building experience is required. |
|
Fiscal analysis experience is required. |
|
Experience writing grant applications is required. |
|
