The Position
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
The Department of Indigent Defense in Carson City is recruiting for a Management Analyst II. The Management Analyst II performs a variety of assignments related to creation of data tracking programs for data collection related to indigent defense (e.g., caseload and time keeping for attorneys), analysis of the data, and creation of a report of the data. Applicants must have experience drafting legislation and regulations. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work including: conducting studies, analyzing data, writing reports, training others, and acting as a liaison with attorneys and various government officials. This position may require travel both in and out of state up to 25%. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
    Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
Additional Position Criteria
    Experience drafting legislation and regulations is required.
    Experience analyzing legal results and preparing reports is required.
