Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This is a Management Analyst 2 position located in Carson City in the Governor's Office of Finance, Office of Project Management (OPM). The position currently supports the SMART21 Project. This position will perform various duties relating to the Project and in addition supports the operational side of the office. This includes assisting the Director in the preparation of the budget, monitoring and processing ongoing disbursements from the budget, scheduling and tracking meetings with the vendor and OPM staff, minute taking at the Executive and Steering Committee meetings, facilitating set up for workshops and training relating to the Project, and assisting the Director with other duties as assigned. Travel up to 25% of the time may be required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |

Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 6 years of experience, 2 years of paraprofessional experience and 4 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures. |
