The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Driver Warehouse Workers receive and store freight, load transporting vehicles, and deliver and pick up supplies, materials, and equipment.
Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.
The Department of Agriculture, Food Distribution Team is recruiting for a Driver Warehouse Supervisor in Sparks. Under the supervision of the Food Distribution Supervisor, this position will supervise warehouse staff/drivers; develop budget information; determine new equipment or repairs needed and prepares specifications; adjusts schedules and work hours and assesses circumstances for the most efficient use of staff, time and equipment. The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure that Federal guidelines and procedures for receipt, storage, inventory management and shipment of food are followed. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of experience in warehouse operations which included responsibility for loading freight, operating forklifts, and operating a Class A commercial motor vehicle to deliver supplies and equipment; OR one year of experience as a Driver Warehouse Worker II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
Driver Warehouse Workers are required to possess a valid commercial driver's license with appropriate endorsements at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances. In addition, federal law required random testing for controlled substances during employment.
