Information Technology (IT) Technicians install, configure, monitor, and maintain networks and monitor and maintain help desk user support or mainframe and server operations.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
The Cannabis Compliance Board (CCB) is seeking multiple IT Technician IV positions in multiple locations including Carson City and Las Vegas. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining State issued workstations, mobile devices, and peripherals. IT Technicians are responsible for maintaining system applications that pertain to the Help Desk including Active Directory.
Incumbent must independently troubleshoot, resolve and provide solutions to end user's experiencing hardware, software, and network related. Incumbent assists management with business process analysis and consultation for IT related solutions. This position is responsible to maintain PC management systems with current scripts, patches, software, and images to comply with agency and State security requirements.
This position will report directly to the CCB IT Manager and supervise no staff.

Graduation from high school or equivalent and five years of experience utilizing the fundamentals of typical computer systems, operating systems, applications, and peripherals, three years of which must have included IT work experience in a user support role; OR (for positions in the Network Operations & Support specialty ONLY) Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of IT work experience in the upgrade or replacement of software and hardware components on networked workstations; OR one year of relevant experience as an IT Technician III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |

Statewide travel is required.

Must be able to travel between Las Vegas & Carson City. |

Must have a valid Real ID Driver License, a vehicle for transportation and must be comfortable transporting IT equipment. |

Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, sit, and walk. |
