This is a very rewarding and specialized field of nursing working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Developmental Disability. This position is responsible for the supervision of the Quality Assurance Unit's nursing staff. Incumbents participate in the overall quality assurance and performance improvement activities for Community Services, as well as the Intermediate Care Facility (ICF/IID) programs. This includes participation in the quality oversight of contracted community providers, conducting and participating in the environmental reviews of supported living arrangements and the ICF/IID, conducting investigations of allegations of abuse, neglect and exploitation, reviewing quality documents. This position also provides nursing case management services to individuals supported by the agency.
