Electricians perform skilled electrical work to maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position is located in Lovelock, Nevada, located approximately 100 miles east of Reno, Nevada. The Electrician is responsible for maintaining all electrical components and all electrical projects pertaining to Lovelock Correctional Center, Humboldt Conservation Camp and Carlin Conservation Camp. Incumbent must be willing to work at this location and must be willing to supervise inmate workers. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship program followed by one year of journey level electrician experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Notes
Applicants must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for stand-by emergency status.
