Clinical Program Planners perform and supervise a variety of planning and analytical functions in support of clinical programs and activities within divisions of the Department of Health and Human Services, including quality improvement, program design, policy and procedure development, program evaluation, research, contract and grant development and administration, strategic planning, and training initiatives.
Clinical Program Planner II's supervise quality improvement and quality assurance, program planning, program evaluation, and/or contract administration for multiple service delivery programs statewide. This position may be located in Reno, Carson City or Las Vegas depending on the most qualified applicant and needs of the agency.
This position will be responsible for managing 6 Clinical Program Planner I's working on policy development and coordination, quality assurance, training and technical assistance and coordination for each region of the state, as well as a Grants and Projects Analyst II. This position will be responsible for identifying and providing recommendations for improvement based on quality assurance activities which measure improvements and/or deficiencies based on developed provider standards and core competencies. Incumbent will be required to make decisions about the methods used to address areas which require improvement including issues regarding workforce development and organizational readiness for implementation. Incumbent will be responsible for researching and identifying the methodology for measuring the types of technical assistance and workforce development supports the child serving community needs to improve child and family outcomes; using discretion in developing and/or modifying technical assistance activities based on unique community needs and/or needs which are unique to specific stakeholders who service children and families; and making choices and determinations about the methods we will use to determine child and family outcomes as a result of this work and then methods we will implement to address gaps and improve our programs and processes. This is a grant funded position and does not provide layoff rights.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a social science or health related field, which included clinical intervention coursework, and three years of professional experience in a mental health or intellectual disability service delivery setting including work as a clinician and in program evaluation and/or program planning; OR an equivalent combination of experience and education above the master's degree level.

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. |

Traveling more than 50% of the time is required. |
