Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
The Management Analyst 2 provides support for the Radiation Control Program with the Division of Public and Behavioral Health located in Carson City, Nevada. The incumbent is responsible for providing a variety of administrative support to the Program Manager and staff to include computer RCP generated reports; organizing and developing user and program administrative solutions for RCP (CLICS) centralized licensing, inspection, and certification system online; interpreting procedures regarding RCP regulations 457 and 459; compile and analyze data of staffing requirements, plan, organize and coordinate the development and implementation of new program requirements for accountability; participate in the preparation of program costs associated with the implementation of new work elements within the program; and coordinate the development of new forms, work methods and automated systems used to process information related to assigned programs. Because of the responsibility of this position, applicants must be self-motivated and timely; possess excellent multitasking skills, be customer service oriented; and assume any additional responsibilities to assist other staff members when necessary. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |

Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 6 years of experience, 2 years of paraprofessional experience and 4 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures. |
