Social Workers are licensed professionals who provide case management services to children, families, vulnerable adults with intellectual, developmental, physical disabilities, serious mental illness, and older adults (collectively referred to as "vulnerable adults") and other individuals within local communities and institutions.
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently. DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES positions are assigned to provide child welfare services to children and families to include but not limited to: Conduct thorough assessments of families at SAFE Model specific times throughout the life of the case. The Social Worker will assess/manage for on-going safety threats throughout the life of the case; deliver strength-based family centered case management services to families that promote the safety and well-being and permanency of children; ensure children have their medical, mental health and educational needs met; ensure case plans are developed and reviewed in accordance with policy and practice guidelines; and ensure documentation of assessments, CFT's, monthly caseworker visits, court reports, social summaries, diligent search efforts, TPR packets and other pertinent paperwork is complete.
This is a full time, underfill position located in Pahrump. A current Nevada Social Work license is a requirement for employment. After hours, on-call weekdays and weekends, are paid overtime after 40 hours per week. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Licensure or provisional licensure as a Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Independent Social Worker or Associate in Social Work. |

This position is subject to call-out or call-back. |

Working evenings, weekends, and/or holidays is required by the Division of Child and Family Services. |
|
A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. |
|
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. |
|
Licensure or provisional licensure by the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers as a Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Independent Social Worker, or Associate in Social Work is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of employment. |
