Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
The Governor's Office of Energy is recruiting for multiple positions in Carson City. Under direction of the Energy Program Manager (EPM), incumbents will work on energy programs, policies, and related processes. Duties include developing RFPs in accordance with associated statues and regulations; assisting in compiling the required financial and statistical data for programs and on-going reporting for grants; conducting a variety of studies and research including legislative analysis, statistical and informational analysis, compiling and analyzing data, preparing and presenting reports, summarizing study results/conclusions, and may make recommendations for future course of action or the development of new programs or services; developing, monitoring, and reviewing complex contracts and grants and recommend approval or modification to contracts; participating in the implementation or adoption of policies and regulations regarding energy development and use; assisting in the fulfilling the requirements of the various grants awarded to the department; and assisting in keeping the department in compliance with the requirements contained in NRS, specifically NRS 701, 701A, and 701B, and the associated NAC chapters. ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |

Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 6 years of experience, 2 years of paraprofessional experience and 4 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures. |

Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |

Experience researching and interpreting laws and regulations related to energy is required. |
|
