Licensed Professional Engineers provide professional services involving the application of engineering principles and data, or activities in connection with public or private utilities, structures, buildings, machines, equipment or projects impacting the public welfare or the safeguarding of life, health or property.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position is located in Carson City within the Construction Division. The incumbent will provide reviews of plans, specifications, and special provisions for accuracy, completeness, and constructability; and provide recommendations as needed; perform project field review at various stages of project design, and provide engineering recommendations; conduct post construction review meetings and generate reports stating findings; provide assistance for and attend Bid Review Analysis Team(BRAT) meetings; research contractor's Request for Information(RFI) and related issues for contract award; and assist with oversight and management of the construction scheduling software for critical path and the Department of Time Determination Schedules. Current Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) |

A person that is a licensed Professional Engineer in another state must become licensed as a Professional Engineer in Nevada within six months of appointment as a condition of employment.
|
|
The practice of engineering does not include land surveying or the work ordinarily performed by persons who operate or maintain machinery or equipment.
|
|
A valid drivers license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. |
