The Position
Clinical Program Planners perform and supervise a variety of planning and analytical functions in support of clinical programs and activities within divisions of the Department of Health and Human Services, including quality improvement, program design, policy and procedure development, program evaluation, research, contract and grant development and administration, strategic planning, and training initiatives.
This position is located within the Department of Health and Human Services, Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) - Autism Treatment Assistance Program (ATAP) in Carson City, NV. ADSD provides an atmosphere of innovative thinking, teamwork, friendly coworkers, and provides a positive working environment. The mission of ADSD is to provide leadership and advocacy in the planning, development and delivery of a high quality, comprehensive support service system across the lifespan to allow all of Nevada's elders, children and adults with disabilities or special health care needs, to live independent, meaningful and dignified lives to the greatest extent possible.
The Clinical Program Planner 1 (CPP) will provide direction and oversight of the intensive case management and support services for each child receiving ATAP funding. The incumbent will train and oversee the Developmental Specialist 4 and Developmental Specialist 3 intake staff in all regions. Duties include, but are not limited to, planning, coordinating, and monitoring quality improvement and strategic planning activities. The CPP with work to design and conduct program evaluations for intake and case management for use in planning and budget development. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a social science or health related field, which included clinical intervention coursework, and two years of professional experience as a clinician in a mental health or intellectual disability service delivery setting.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
