JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation,
employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
The Veterans Program Representative position is with the Compensation, Classification & Recruitment section of the Division of Human Resource Management. Under the supervision of the Division's Veterans Program Coordinator, this position will be responsible for planning and implementing recruitment activities in northern and rural Nevada geared towards assisting veterans in gaining employment with the State. Duties will include consulting with veterans, community outreach to agencies and various sources to promote and support the program; and assisting veterans with the application/recruitment process; conducting research, compiling statistical data and providing reports as needed to ensure success of the program. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field and two years of progressively responsible professional personnel experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
This position may require up to 25% travel.
Additional Position Criteria
This position requires the applicant to be a honorably discharged veteran.
