The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION

Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.
The Department of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS) is currently recruiting for a Business Process Analyst 3. This position will be located in DWSS's Project Management Office in Carson City. The Business Process Analyst 3 position is an integral part of our Information Systems Project Management organization.
This position provides project management support to include project communications, project status reporting, contract management, and resource management. This position serves as a liaison between the agency's program/policy staff and technical staff and works closely with state and county program staff, technicians, vendors, and other agencies/entities involved with project planning and execution. The incumbent provides support in preparing information technology State and federal funding and advance planning documents. Business Analysis certification (e.g. CBAP, PMI-PBA) is preferred at time of hire. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and three years of progressively responsible professional experience in a related program area analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included two years of experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR one year of experience as a Business Process Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting.
Additional Position Criteria
Experience with a System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) such as Waterfall or Agile is required.

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience.
