Licensed Psychologists provide psychological testing, evaluation, psychotherapy, counseling, and consultation to clients or inmates in residential, inpatient and outpatient settings, at a mental health, intellectual disabilities, or correctional facility, or in other settings where psychological services are provided.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
The Licensed Psychologist 1 position is located with Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (NNAMHS) in Sparks, Nevada. The position will work closely with intensive Outpatient Services with consumers in the community. The position will conduct assessments and individualized counseling with Consumers in Community Based Living Arrangements (CBLA) housing. The psychologist's duties will include individual and group therapy, consultation, psychological assessments, and behavior support planning. The psychologist will appreciate the intersecting differences of an increasingly diverse patient population and will demonstrate a culturally competent readiness to meet their needs. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

One year of post-doctoral experience in providing psychological services in an inpatient, outpatient or residential setting. |

Licensed Psychologist I's and Licensed Psychologist II's must possess current licensure as a Psychologist issued by the State of Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners at the time of appointment and maintain licensure as a condition of continuing employment. |

A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. |
|
Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |
