APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY -  $51,281.28 to  $76,170.24  PAY GRADE: 35
The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
Silver State Health Insurance Exchange is recruiting for a Management Analyst 2 in Carson City. Incumbent is responsible for oversight and monitoring of Exchange financial, programmatic, and performance audits, including federal, state, and private audits; assisting with contract oversight and compliance; processing public records requests on behalf of the Exchange; working closely with the Finance Officer and the Policy and Compliance Manager to ensure fiscal and regulatory compliance with State and federal law, regulations, and policy; developing, implementing, and monitoring adherence to policies and procedures established as a result of audit findings; ensuring proper federal and State reporting of funding and programmatic activities; conducting subaward and subcontractor monitoring activities and preparing reports to management summarizing findings; and technical writing of Exchange policies and procedures and general copywriting for Exchange stakeholders (target audiences may include agents/brokers, consumers, carriers, Exchange employees, and other internal and external partners.) This position will also assist the fiscal unit as needed with document processing and development of the biennial budget. **NOTE: THIS POSITION WILL NOT BE APPOINTED PRIOR TO 10/01/2019.** ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Notes
    Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 6 years of experience, 2 years of paraprofessional experience and 4 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures.
Special Requirements
    Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, some positions in this series have been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in these positions must submit to preemployment screening for controlled substances.
    Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
Additional Position Criteria
    Experience performing programmatic and fiscal monitoring of health care related programs is required.
    Experience researching and interpreting health insurance and/or health care policies, rules, or regulations is required.
