Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation,
employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
The position is located in Carson City, Nevada with the Department of Corrections. The incumbent serves in an HR generalist capacity. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, recruitment, classification and compensation, employee relations, community outreach initiatives, and providing professional human resources related guidance to employees, managers and executive staff. ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field and two years of progressively responsible professional personnel experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required.
