APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY -  $51,281.28 to  $76,170.24  PAY GRADE: 35
The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position
Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting.
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.
This position is underfilling a Clinical Social Worker 2 and will be responsible for client evaluations and assessments through interviews with client/inmate, families and friends and review of medical records including social, developmental, and medical history; determine strengths, presenting problems, resources, and eligibility for applicable programs and services; and identify appropriate interventions. The position will also perform crisis interventions including client restraint or appropriate behavioral and environmental controls for clients who may be hostile, combative, aggressive or assaultive; follow established protocols and policy to protect clients, staff, family, and others potentially at risk due to client behavior; recommend and complete documentation for voluntary and involuntary hospitalization. Travel up to 25% of the time may be required.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work and an internship approved by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers.
Special Notes
    Incumbents must obtain and maintain licensure or provisional licensure to engage in social work as a Clinical Social Worker or associate in social work in accordance with NRS Chapter 641B and the regulations adopted by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers.
    Must be in or eligible for an internship for licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers, or must hold a license in the State of Nevada as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting.
    A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
