JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
The Records, Communication, and Compliance Division (RCCD) is recruiting to fill a vacancy in the Carson City office. This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Fingerprint Examiner Unit, Fingerprint Support Civil Unit, Criminal Records Unit, and the Nevada Offense Code Unit; analyzing workload volume and statistical and informational reports to spot trends and streamline business processes for improved efficiency; conferring with users, internal Business Process Analysts, EITS personnel, and outside vendors regarding new or enhanced records/reporting requirements resulting from legislative action; developing scopes of work for contracts relating to fingerprint submission; develop grant funding solicitation responses and manage awarded funding and activities performed under the grants; coordinating, implementing, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies; communicate with stakeholders on a myriad of issues and present to various legislative and working group committees information pertaining to state and federal programs and objectives; and recommending and implementing quality assurance procedures to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the criminal history record information maintained by the Repository. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience which included budgeting, accounting, and/or economic or management analysis and projections; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and five years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Notes
Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 7 years of experience of which 2 years were at the paraprofessional level and 5 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures.
Special Requirements
This position requires up to 25% travel.
Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
