Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
Statewide.
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives. This position is with the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR), Rehabilitation Division. The position will be located in Carson City or Las Vegas, depending on the candidate chosen.
The incumbent will supervise the Rehabilitation Division Field Accounting Unit to ensure compliance with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), as well as state and federal accounting regulations; collect data for cost analysis; and monitor regulatory changes in state and federal law. In addition, the incumbent will serve as a fiscal back-up to the Deputy Administrator for the Rehabilitation Division; directly oversee two budgets including preparation of the budget documents and testifying in front of the legislature in support of those submissions; oversee, manage and coordinate Third Party Cooperative Arrangements (TPCAs); coordinate annual audits to ensure adherence to the federal grant award requirements; provide on-going technical assistance to TPCA partners; act as a liaison for the Division to oversee the auditing and monitoring activities of the Division; organize activities within the Division when an audit or monitoring occurs; manage requests and information gathering and provide guidance during the response phase of the activity; identify and develop internal controls based on state and federal requirements, including technical assistance, analysis, written procedures, training, and monitoring for all programs; assist in the monitoring of the fiscal transactions related to Pre-ETS expenditures, TPCA expenditures, and maximization of the federal grant; provide technical assistance and training to Pre-ETS, TPCA and other partners (i.e. Washoe School District and Clark County School District, etc.); and assist with preparation and review for completeness and compliance of required federal reports (i.e. RSA-2, SF-425, RSA-15, and others). ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and four years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and four years of professional experience which included budgeting, accounting, and/or economic or management analysis and projections; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and six years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

The Examination

The exam will consist of a rating of training and experience weighted 100%. 5) Describe your professional program experience, including the number of years, which directly relates to the program or specialty area of the current vacancy as described on the job announcement.
