The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position is located within the Division of Health Care Finanancing and Policy, Long-Term Services and Supports Unit in Las Vegas, NV. The incumbent will work under the Money Follows the Person (MFP) Rebalancing Demonstration grant funded position expected to continue through September 2020, depending on Federal funding and will have layoff rights. The incumbent will serve as a full-time staff for Nevada's Money Follows the Person, reporting to the MFP Project Director and is instrumental in managing all financial and administrative areas of the MFP Rebalancing Demonstration. The incumbent provides competent assistance in areas such as grant budgeting and financial analysis, research, statistical and informational analysis, and preparing and disseminating complex federal and state reports required by the MFP program. The incumbent will maintain data quality and control, and complete all reports related to MFP from internal and external partners. The incumbent is responsible for identifying goals, objectives, and activities that will fulfill the grant mission. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
Additional Position Criteria
Fiscal management experience with medical billing and/or medical data claims is required.
